2024 Year-end closing EU ETS Registry |

Dear account representative EU ETS Registry,
You are receiving this newsletter because you are registered at the NEa as an account representative for an aircraft operator in the EU ETS Registry.
Based on an assessment of your CO2 emissions data in Eurocontrol, we expect your aircraft operator to be obligated to complete the EU ETS and CH ETS compliance cycle for the emissions year 2024. For aircraft operators falling under the administration of the Dutch Emissions Authority for the purposes of CORSIA, this also includes the reporting of CORSIA emissions.
Important dates:
The emission figure must be entered in the register by March 31st 2025 at the latest. Please ensure that you have checked and updated your register records before the deadline. |

New registry user interface |
Please note that there is a new user interface of the registry. We strongly recommend that you log in to this user environment well in advance, so that you can become familiar with the new layout and can identify any login problems early on.
In the manual for the EU ETS register (when logged in to the register, click on 'Need help?' at the bottom left of the screen) you will find detailed instructions for using the register.
For other questions, the NEa Helpdesk can be reached by telephone on working days from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, or by e-mail via info@emissionautoriteit.nl.
Please find information below about the deadlines and points of interest in regard to data input and verification in the registry. |

Please be aware that if you do not meet these deadlines, you will be in violation. |

Changes in contact details |

The details of your organisation and account representatives on your account in the EU ETS registry must be up to date. It is advisable to review your account. If your details are not up to date, please submit an EU ETS registry change request through our web form. |

Enter emissions data into Registry |
Please note when entering emissions totals for EU ETS and CH ETS these must be entered separately. Entering values for both totals are mandatory. If emissions are 0, this must be entered as well. Please do not leave this field blank. If a number value is not entered then your registry account will be blocked. |

Information about the CH ETS |
CH ETS refers to the emissions trading scheme of Switzerland. Due to the linking of the EU ETS and CH ETS trading schemes, emissions data on both schemes must be entered into the registry. The emissions totals for the EU ETS and CH ETS must be entered separately into the EU ETS registry. This field cannot be left blank. |
CHUs are emission allowances created in the CH ETS. Allowances from both CH ETS and EU ETS can be used for compliance in both systems. This means that EUAs, AEUAs, CHUs and CHUAs from the current phase and the previous phase can be surrendered.
The surrendering of allowances can be initiated 24/7 and will be processed immediately. However, please be aware of the delay period when transferring allowances to another account and/or when you are expecting to receive allowances on your account. For more information on the processing of transactions, please visit our website. |

Verifier needs to verify emissions data |
Your verifier needs to verify the EU ETS and CH ETS emissions data in the EU ETS Registry and needs to be assigned by you as aircraft operator to your account. In case of a change in verifier please update these details as necessary. This is not relevant for small emitters that use the Small Emitters Tool (SET) from the Eurocontrol ETS Support Facility. In this case verification is not required and the Dutch national administrator will mark the emissions data as verified in the EU ETS Registry. |
